Former US Women’s National Team coach Greg Ryan working on his current University of Michigan team playing out of the back. This is a small clip of the functional exercise that has a GK, four backs, and two mids trying to build out of the back against two forwards and two mids.

    Wait, we can play out of the back? I thought we were to "wack it" every chance we get. Good stuff. Can we send the clip to some of our youth coaches? Thanks

    It is a good execise but I asuming happening early in the session with amount of defenders out on the field. Would have to increase pressure afer awhile or it would be too easy. Also encourage the defense to pressure harder.
