The game begins with three players attacking two defending players to goal (Goalkeepers in both goals). When the ball goes out of play or possession is lost, the defenders leave the field and are replaced by three attackers that bring on a ball (the former attackers now transition to defend their goal). The player that takes the shot or loses possession must sprint and touch the opponent’s goal before they can defend. This will create a 3v2 situation with a trailing defender. The game continues as three new attackers come on and attack two defenders (with a trailing third defender). The trailing third defender adds reality to the game as it forces the attackers to go at pace and not slow down. (If the team loses possession in the middle of the exercise, the player that loses possession sprints to touch the other goal and the other two defend the three attackers that are currently on the field).
