A very simple exercise that works on running with the ball and also provides fitness with the ball. Running with the ball (dribbling at speed) is often under addressed in the youth game today. Players dribble through a gate at speed and then chase the next player that is dribbling. The player about to dribble cannot leave until the ball crosses through the gate. I usually make the gates about 35-40 yards apart, but you can vary it. I like to put a consequence in for the players that get tagged and the ones that never tag another to make it competitive.
