I saw this exercise when a buddy of mine, John Clare, used it at our club. Players serve a long ball in the air and then look to get in an onsides position to combine with the teammate who received the pass. The player receiving the ball dribbles at the coach and then either plays a 1-2 (give and go) or keeps the ball and goes to the position where the ball was served from.  The player who served the ball now goes to the receiving line. Next, the other diagonal players have a turn. Players stay with their group and rest while the other group goes.
