Three teams of three players each are inside the center circle. Two teams play against the team that loses possession (6 v 3). When the defending team wins the ball, the players must combine in order to dribble out of the circle while the other 6 players try to prevent that. The game restarts with the team that lost possession on defense.

    I use this type of activity quite a bit. Another way to help the defending look for immediate attack (transition) is to have them find the coaches feet with the ball in as few touches as possible (you can set the number). The play is then restarted with a pass back in from the coach.
